So what gives?

I could drone about this idea, or that idea, but in short I have noticed a trend.  When I am on the different “dating” services that are on the internet such as match.com, kiss.com, etc….and I see an ad placed by someone from one of the Latin or Asian countries, the income level they are looking for is always VERY high.

Why is it that once they are here, they are as bad, if not in fact much worse as far as greed goes, in relation to American women?

Okay, the guys on this board are looking for a woman that is obviously attractive.  If you go to match.com or amigos.com you will notice there are many "obviously attractive"  women on these sites.  The problem (you have addressed) is they desire a man with a large income.  Now, the myth is,,,if you go to a latin american country then an "obviously attractive" woman won't have such high expectations.  It is a myth.  I will explain.  I have a friend with a six figure income.  40 years old, tall, in shape,,, etc.  He married a Cali woman last year. She is "obviously attractive".  He always talks about how wonderful she is.  I asked, "Do you think she would have married you if you made $35,000 a year?"  He chuckled and said, "Of course not."

Let's see....my wife is petite, beautiful has a college degree and has been mistaken for someone 10 years younger than herself.

She's speaks pretty good English and has a managerial job in the US. She also can compare to CaliPro's ex-wife WITHOUT the surgery or nose job.

If you are talking about dating services that deal with persons living in the US,yes the expectations are very high.Some of these ladies from forign countries may have even higher standards because they are probably more attractive.Or maybe just more materialistic.This girl was probably someones horror story,whoever broght her here.Being on the market again here is not a good sign.
So get to the market that favors you.Why mess with a latina here who is already jaded when a plane ride can get you a very unspoiled one?
And I agree with Denver Mike.We are looking for something,so are they.When expectatios match,infenetly more likely to happen with a lady you meet somewhere like Colombia both people seem to have found what they want.The trick is for them to keep wanting it after they get here and not change their expectations.The best insurance is a conservative girl who really seems to care for you.

Another thing.Even on the foriegn web sites what a woman says she wants and what she will accept are alot different.Some profiles indicate the age of guy they are looking for.Maybe a 32 year old will say 30-40.She might want that but isn't likely to get it and will probably stretch it alot further.20 plus years age difference is almost the norm in the couples I know,with 2 notable exceptions who are close in age.But you are warned,you are not ideal.
As far as a $$$ amount on income I have never seen that on a web site profile,but it can be important.In dealing with Colombianas they tend to think you are rich if you make $40,000 a year.They don't understand that that might be rich in Colombia but it just gets you by here.

I think you make a very good point when you say that these foreign women will think you are very rich with an income that is not all that much by American standards.  I had that problem with a woman in Ukraine.

What is to be confused about?, after all they are just women

Remember the old saying, women are sex objects and men are success objects, simple as that.  

Are you looking for an overweight divorced woman in her late 40s with three kids, not likely in my opinion. You are looking for a sweet young thing just like everybody else on this board.

She is looking for a guy that can support her in style, she can have any poor guy at home.

Seems clear to me.

Now maybe some of the guys who spend all day monitoring this board will get off their @#$es, forget about who's Aaron (see Patrick's post above), become a little more successful, learn spanish, get a little polished, they'd be surprised how many fine latinas they can attract.

You just learned lesson number one in the search for a sincere partner... The self-eliminating latina...

Those are the type of women that make your job that much easier... Just remove them from your list and move on to the next... Easy...

There are plenty of ladies who do not fit that category...

Yep, that's my approach, let's get on with eliminating as many as possible, pronto.  And there are those that have "Eliminate me" stamped on the front of their cranium, don't be confused, oblige them.

I have noticed that as well, as for as the income requirement goes, their standards for age acceptance will change also.
