... in response to Agencies in Brazil, posted by jazfunk on Aug 27, 2003I've been meeting women locally but also tried
www.latineuro.com. I've said some bad things about them in the past, but now that I've used them I've gotten better than a 50% response rate, and most of those who've responded are seriously looking for a good man to marry. Well, gold is where you find it, right?
The addresses are cheap when purchased in bulk, and you really have to talk to the woman, at least on the phone, to see if there is chemistry between the two of you. If you hit it off over the phone it's worth going to wherever she lives to visit her, ah reckon.
I should know better than to fall in love with a picture, but even so I've been surprised at how little a picture really tells you about a person. There have been several whose photos looked very charming to me but with whom I just didn't have any chemistry and our conversations were forced and boring. I sort of assumed that one in particular was a bit of a high-maintenance princess because of her looks and manner of dress, but she turned out to be super sweet and intelligent. In fact, she is one of two whom I am seriously thinking of proposing to-- they've both let me know, one more directly than the other, that they'd accept.
The one hesitation I've had is she is quite ambitious about her career and doesn't want to give it up, while I am planning a business which I'd really like to be *our* business to build together. The other lady is quite pretty too, hard working and entrepreneurial, but has a son, and while in theory I don't mind that, it is an issue.
I don't know...if you feel like you have to "choose", could it be that neither one is right? And is having a wife who works with you a good idea, or is it better that she do something else all day? Her profession is fairly lucrative, if that counts :-). There are a couple of others locally whom I'm interested in, too.
