Just doing a little "testing" with my satelite system to make sure every channel available is functioning properly on my receiver - so I've got a match on this GOLTV from Colombia right now, currently between Santa Fe & Dep. Cali:

Soccer's such a big deal down there but this stadium is vacant, it looks more vacant than the MLS scene we've got in the US. For those going to Cali it's alot of fun to take in a game if you can swing it BTW.

Anyone know how these clubs make money?  Those soccer guys get paid pretty good down there.  I've only been to a couple of matches while in Cali but I've noticed the same thing - empty stadium.  I guess they make their money from the corporate sponsorships?  (you know each club has got something like cerveza Poker or Aguila covering their entire uniforms, and the stadium is always lined with others that are always prevalent in the camera coverage)

It's my belief that the drug cartels own most of the teams, laundering money etc. Of course, I have no evidence to back that up with.
