That guy had a lot of very interesting stuff to say. Although I think he's got a lot to learn about the reality of Colombian work procedures, he was practical and methodical in his search and could make for an interesing case.

Practical in his search???  All he did was complain & moan about the women he was corresponding with, and all latin women in general. His search consisted of meeting women over the internet and if they didn't immediately fall in love with him and be at his beck and call, he would get upset.  He's never set foot in Colombia, yet he was an expert. Also he was immature in the way he handled himself when confronted with a differing opinion.  Very tactless and rude.  I think Patrick acted properly and nipped a problem poster in the bud.  I wasn't too happy with Hans' last post to me when he started with his "you Americans" diatribe, which is so atypical of some Europeans who think that Americans are trying to tell them what to do and what to think, when in reality, we are just expressing our opinions.  Unfortunately, our opinions just so happen to differ from Hans'.
Glad to see him go.

Listen.. When I say he was practical in his search i mean that he was from what I have seen to the first to use a caluculated, methological, internet and chat room based approach. And as someone who lives in South America and has travelled througout south america, i have to say hanz is more of an expert for having lived in Brazil several years and speaking spanish and portuguese than any guy who was merely come down to Cali to visit various times. While I agree that he was WAY OFF BASE about the whole working situation.

CaliAdvisor,
First of all chat rooms are a big waste of time.  Secondly, Hans is not the first to use the internet.  I have used and am currently using cybercupido.com and also amigos.com., and I know that many members of this forum are also.
Based on his posts here, Hans had no success with these avenues.  He constantly complained about the women he met, and also stated that the women stopped writing him.  Check the archives.  If you want to "look up" to Hans, as far as him being some kind of pioneer, well I think you're wasting your time.  Yes, Hans was "calculated" alright, and very methodical in offending not only the members of his forum, but also many latinas (most noteably the one from Bucaramanga).  As someone who lives in SA, you of all should see that Hans will have problems in Colombia, just as he did in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, & Peru.  If he was so great, he would still be there now, wowing the women.

hahaha... Maybe your right. The guy really did seem to be striking out, and for someone who lived in Brazil, his understanding of these women seemed to be pretty shoddy at best.

But I still think he added an interesting perspective to the board.

Yeah, At first I liked Hans, even told him that i thought he was a great guy in one of my posts.  But sooner or later everyone's true personality comes out.  He definitely started to get out of line.  But as Pablo stated above, someone else will show up to liven things up around here.
Take care.

I am new to this board, at least from a posting standpoint.
Yes, hans sometimes had interesting things to say. But read his last post before he was banned- so typical of him-
very short tempered and spits venom for even the smallest attacks on him.

Burbuja made one small comment agaist him and Hans ripped his entire life apart!

In my opinion, short-tempered, venom-spitters do more harm than good on this board.

Bring Hans Back? Maybe after he grows up a bit. Until then, forget it!

AS a water skier I always had kind of a disdain for fishermen, and they for me,probably.Look at those guys, just sitting on the bank holding a fishing pole, not moving.Looks like an excuse to do nothing to me.They are probably thinking look at those guys racing by,throwing up water and doing tremendous wipe outs.
But they put it all together in the ultimate oxemoron, speed fishing,as in a bass tournament.Thats where you go 80 mph to a place where you stop and fish and sit.If you catch something you go 80 mph back with it to try and win.
Reminds me of a car story article where these guys were driving Ferraris in Italy. Then  stopped for lunch. The writer said there was something a little crazy about driving 150 mph to spend 4 hours having lunch.
My dad was a fisherman,me not.As a kid I used to go with him for something to do.One time he was fishing on a river,I was sitting up a hill above him watching.I got bored and started rolling rocks downhill for fun.One started a  rockslide that almost took him out.
"You trying to kill me?" he says.

Assuming you're not kidding, an anesthesiologist is an MD that administers anesthesia to prepare patients for a pain-free surgery. It can be general anesthesia (totally out),
or a spinal/epidural anesthesia which numbs patients from the waist down (for knee surgeries). We also have a pain clinic where we do peripheral nerve blocks for chronic pain. The list goes on.

Anesthesiologists are very well loved in the obstetrical suites, for obvious reasons.
