We started making plans for my first trip to Venezuela. She suggested Isla de Marigarita. It is a big tourist destination for Venezuelans, Canadians and some Europeans. Not many of Americans seem to know about this Island. It is situated in the south Caribbean just north of the Venezuelan mainland. I did some research and quickly discovered that a nice vacation can be had there for little money. I choose a bed and breakfast near Playa de Agua call "Casa Trudel". It is owned my a Canadian man and his Dutch wife.

I had decided that since I was meeting only one woman and it did not work out I could at least have a good vacation.

I planned my trip for Feb. 8 to the 15the and purchased my tickets. I was pleasantly surprised that the round trip tickets were only $535.00.

I arrived in Caracas around 12 in the afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day with a nice cool breeze blowing. On our final approach, I noticed many small dwellings dotted the hillsides precariously. Once I departed the airplane, I checked out my surroundings. The airport looked reasonably modern, but was not as nice as those in Miami and Atlanta. On the hills near the airport, there was what looked like large cactus and large birds hovering overhead.

It only took a few minutes to get through immigration and as I stepped through the exit and looked up, a beautiful women caught by eye...Dubraska?

We hugged and then made our way out of the busy international terminal. Too many people trying to offer services that we did not need. "No gracias, No gracias!"

Dubraska had already made reservations for the plane flight to Margarita so we headed to the domestic terminal to get our tickets.
While we were walking, I realized that she looked even better in person. I loved the way she does her hair, the way she dresses, her walk. Very sexy. It was difficult communicating at first because my Spanish and her English was rusty.

Once we arrived at the ticket counter, she gave the person behind the counter her reservations. The lady told us that the special discount was no longer available even though she was told differently at the travel agency. Dubraska is a very logical person, and she could not understand how they could not honor the discount even though the paperwork clearly stated that the discount was valid. She asked for the manager and gave him an earful...I realized that this women was not timid. She was really concerned about my money and wanted to help me save as much as possible. I later came to realize that she is very careful with both her money and mine.

Once on the airplane, we started to loosen up some and I stared feeling very comfortable with this lady. I felt like I had known her all my life! I leaned over to kiss her and we went into a lip-lock until we landed about thirty minutes later. For awhile, I thought that I may become a member of the mile-high club.

Once on the ground, we retrieved our luggage and while Dubraska was in the restroom, a man approached me who spoke good English. He asked me if I needed some help. I asked him if he know were Casa Trudel was and he said "Sure". Dubraska come out and he walked us outside and called for a taxi. Dubraska asked him how much and he told her. She gave him a funny look and said "Ah, noooo". Too expensive!! So we found another taxi that was much cheaper and the driver said that he would find the bed and breakfast for us. No problem. I had already realized that the man was looking to make some easy money off of a stupid gringo, but to me it was still cheap to me by US standards. But not to Dubraska!

Next, Part 3 -- Where is Casa Trudel???
