Argentina Woman?

I have been e-mailing a woman from BA for 5 months
now.She responded to my profile on the Single Parent
dating site.I'm 50 and she's 45,she speaks and writes
english,french,italian, and spanish working for a
french firm in BA for a number of years.She says her
wages haven't been keeping up with costs there.She is
fixing up her house to sell and trying to get a
employer sponsored job in the U.S. Florida.I truly
hope she can do this,she widowed for 5years.Is there
any other ways of getting her here short of marriage
visa? She has been here to Florida before for
vacation.Is there anything I'm missing or need to
watch out for. I want to help her get here somehow
without getting Burnt!  Don

Welcome Don,

I just returned from visiting Argentina.  (if you search the archives you will find my trip report.)  As you are probably aware their peso is very much devalued now purchasing one third of what it once did.  Great for us visiting with the dollar but not for wage earners there.

Before the crisis in Argentina it was much easier for someone to get an American visa.  Not so now.  However, I would think given your lady friend’s age, home ownership, and employment history, that she might be able to get a tourist visa.

It might be nice visiting her in her home country.  The agency scene is practically non existent in Argentina but I am sure you would enjoy the trip.

Have you also considered visiting any other Latin American countries like Colombia?  You may be really interested in this Argentine lady but you will be surprised at how many nice ladies would be interested in you in the 30 year old range especially if you have a nice personality and you are good looking.  Don't think as if still in our culture with acceptable age mores.  Just a thought.
