1) The economy of Venezuela is down 29% from the same quarter last year, mostly due to the oil strike. But they did find the money to send Miss Venezuela to the Miss World contest, my lady (a Calena) says 'Well sure Venezuelan girls are pretty, if you like silicone and tummy tucks, I'M all natural!' (trust me, she doesn't NEED any silicone)
2) At the 'Group of Rio Summit' (19 latin countries, they didn't enumarate which, but that's pretty much all of them) in Cuzco, Peru, they have all agreed to work on a plan (possibly involving the UN) to end Colombia's war, because they are worried about 'spill over'. They haven't MADE the plan yet, but agreed to work on it. Maybe some good will come of it, I certainly hope so.
