Not sure what mistakes were made as I don't know the whole story!  Let's face it, some of these calenas will say or do anything and are very convincing - I can see this happening to anyone that marries down there, then goes back to the states and waits months for the visa - just never know.

I think there are a number of red-flags that we can all look for. I have terminated many relationships in the last 3 years with Colombianas after seeing some.
The bottom line is, are they 110% totally in love with you??  You will know.  Do they repect you??  How much time have you spent with this girl, on trips, in Cali, with her family?? Too many guys rush into marriage. (I know I did with my first).  Is she always available to take your phone calls? (especially if she has a cell phone).  Does she show you off to her friends??  Do her friends respect you??
Does she act mysterious sometimes in her whereabouts?
When you visit her, does she devout 100% of her time to you?
I'm not going to speak on the age difference, because I think in many cases it's not a factor.  But remember, we're all grown men here, most of us in our 40's & 50's.  Before we marry, let's take a reality check.  Marriage is a huge investment and a serious committment.  If we do our due diligence, get to know the woman, and I mean get to know her well, mistakes can be avoided.
Too many gringos put the blame on the Colombiana when things go afoul.  Many of these women are twice as young as us, far less educated, playing us for fools, and we don't see it??  Come on guys!!

Yes,sometimes a Colombiana can be mysterious and hard to read. You don't have to read her, just dump her.A girl that is serious about you will let you know. There will be no mysteries or anything that doesn't jive.Untill you find that girl play around all you want but don't marry her

I'm not really worried about any hastles because I cancelled the visa process before she got here. I have a lawyer that will divorce us for $300 dollars. The only problem is my wife's whole family up and moved after I got done with them and I don't know if I can get divorced in Colombia if I can't find my wife.

Did Calipro not marry another very young girl previously, who left him and married a doctor? If you want young girls, expect to be play lots of games.Otherwise stick to women. By the way, even if a man is 25 I would reccomend he not marry a 19 year old. Marriage is a santion which only mature people who REALLY know what they seek in life should enter into. Now if you want to casually date a 19 year old, that is a different story.

She is going to want the divorce or annulment so she can go after another gringo, even to marry the boyfriend she needs it.

Also, I'm not in a big hurry to get divorced until I find out if I need to be married to get my cedula extranjera. Eventually I would like to buy a house and buisness and live in Cali.

Good idea.  But I think all you need to have is any visa to get the cedula.  Under normal circumstances, you're eligible for the Spouse visa.

http://www.colhouston.org/English/visas/tc.htm

But that route would require a notarized letter from her.  That would be good for 2 years though.  I don't believe all the other visa options give you that much time.

I wonder how long the Colombian fiance visa would be good for?  That would be an easy one to get.

The "Temporal TS" visa covers a variety of options including retirement and marriage to a Colombian. Once you have a visa you have to register it at DAS within sixty days (or sixty days of entering Colombia, can't remember). Registering the visa consists of applying for a cedula extranjeria. The TS has to be renewed in Bogota annually for five years after which it's permanent. A marriage visa per se becomes permanenet in only three years.

She won't need a divorce to be with the boy friend. They'll just have a "union libre".

The boyfriend is out of the picture I'm quite sure. As for going after another gringo I have $1000 bucks that says she'll never look twice at another gringo. If any of you guys ever see her picture on an agency web site or meet her in person, take a picture and let me know. The money's yours.
