calling help

Hi.  I finally got a calling card. Now I need to figure out how to
call Lima Peru.  The card says I need to enter the country code
and city code before dialing the phone number.  I have seen a
Lima Peru number that is 51-1-xxx-xxxx.   Would 51 be the
country code, and 1 the city code?    

I hope to call this woman tonight so any help would be greatly
appreciated!

To call Lima, Peru you have to dial as follow: 011-511 and then the next 7 digits. I do this every week using a calling card to call my mother in Peru.

51 is the country code for Peru and 1 is the city code for Lima

  I got it.  I dial 011 first (international call), then 511 (51 for Peru, 1 for
Lima).   Thanks.  Hope I get through tonight!
