Cali Vet,

You're the man...

Nice pictures of you too... lol...

On a more serious note, since you have taken the plunge and now live in Cali, can you offer any insight as to the culture shock YOU went through making this transition???

If not, I understand you hesitance...

The transition has been pretty smooth since I've been comming down for awile and had planned on staying here after retirement well before I met my wife. I hadn't necessarily planned to live in Cali though. I'm doing it for now, for her. A couple of years ago I'd been thinking in terms of (and with a girl from) Trujillo a village up in the mountains outside Tulua where I have a good friend whose been living there for four years. We often talk here about seeking non-materialistic women and really a village is where you find them. I get really irked by the Cali materialism sometimes and it can be a bone of contenion between me and my wife who like many (or most?) of the calenas we meet seems to spend a lot of time aspiring to material things she hasn't had. That said I like the fact that money here (not speaking of mafiosa of course) is not the throw away  commodity it seems to be in the US and has real concrete value. With a computer and cheap calls to the US from the internet cafe at Chipichapi there's not much to miss and even though I don't work my days are full. Occasionally I ponder the simpler life with the montanera (who's currently very pregnant by a guerrillero up in Yopal, Casenare) I passed on in order to set up housekeeping with my glamourous city girl.

Thanks Jim C, actually she has a seventeen year old niece who I find damn cute who will give birth next month. No dad in the picture. She does professional salsa presentations with her brother. Like kids? (pun intended)

Thanks Thundernco, about a week ago most of Sexta was under eighteen inches of water for a couple of hours. Rains every day and had 72 degrees yesterday morning. They're all complaining about the cold wave.

Wow, Cali vet, your lady is a stunner.  Very nice photos of the two of you.  Thanks for sharing the pixs.

On a side note, for those of you who subscribe to the Latin Women's List forum.  Today I received an email from this group referring us to a fake web site supposedly from a "Karl Robbins".  The Bozo who set up this site stole a photo from JR n Atl and placed it there.  There is also a link to a sex tour agency, TSM Travel, maybe fake as well.  Here is the address: http://geocities.com/karlrobbins2003/

Guys like this make you think twice about posting personal photos.  Anyone know this guy?  Larry Glickman had the same problem a few months ago.

Jim, I'd think you could get this site shut down pronto with a complaint lodged with Geocities.  Any suggestions on catching this guy?

Thanks for the head's up, Pablo. I'll take your suggestion and contact Goecities. In the meantime, I'm shutting down my website until I figure out a way to prevent this from happening in the future.
