Hey gang,

I'm going back to Cartagena in June and would like to stay in an apartment this time. I'd like to find a very nice one, preferrably in the Laguito area. I'll be doing some cooking so it will need to have a well stocked kitchen. I've searched the archives and found a couple of things but wanted to ask the group to see if any of you knew of a place firsthand. Thanks ahead for any help.

BTW, I've relocated my photos. If you're a regular (90 plus days) here with an email address on file, email me and I'll give you the link. I'm filing an infringement report with Yahoo today and we'll see if that gets me anywhere. I'll keep you posted.

I have a friend who travels to Cartagena frequently and always rents apartments. He says that he just gets a hotel the first day or so, then gets busy the next morning visiting some of the realty offices and looking at apartments. In Cartagena, because of the high tourism, it is possible to rent really nice apartments short-term for a month or two. The process of checking in and out is very slow, because they inventory EVERYTHING and you must sign these inventories.

This guy speaks English, and I understand he has a large selection of apartments, one of which is very nice but too large/expensive for one person.

I have another recommendation for you, a woman who manages some apartments, including one that's very nice, but she doesn't have any E-mail contact.  I don't want to post her phone number here without asking her first, so please contact me at Rudy@mailcity.com if interested.

I've looked around a little, and based on my very-limited experience most apartments available for short term rental are on the dumpy side.
