Monday FARC announced via their website that they are ready to release all of the prisoners they are holding. Of course they wanted a little something in return....like all FARC being held by the government released, with a full pardon, and oh yeah, they need another 'demilitized' zone too.

Tuesday Uribe responded: "Not one milimeter!" Futher more, he announced that the army has just finished training 1,300 'special' soldiers and he is sending them in with orders to take out the FARC LEADERSHIP, whatever it takes, no holds barred. Uribe promissed the guerrillas 'their hour of total defeat' and the Colombian public 'a Colombia free of guerrillas'.

------------------------------------
Sure hope he's right, on both counts.

PS 86 days now those lazy swine at TSC have been sitting on my K-1 application, and I've been hearing of other people still waiting for 150 days or more with no results....somebody (a BUNCH of somebodies) should loose their pensions over this kind of so called 'service'.

I know the feeling Mark my I-129F K-1 visa is standing at 153 days as of today. A K-1 is a disaster if your filing with Texas Service Center.

Mounted on an Abrams tank.Uribe is taking his time, hopefuly he has been getting the troops ready.I will be very disapointed if this is all just more BS and delay.
About your wait on the bureacrats.I think you got to be an Aldrich Ames or Robert Hanson to loose your pension and even there I'm not sure, the wife would have a claim.Ain't beraucracy fun? Just hope they haven't shredded it for you.
Reminds me off when Jimmy Carter wanted to streamline beraucracy. There was going to be a huge new office to do it.
Seems every new idea just adds to it.
Actualy they will eventually come through I think. You just don't want to be holding your breath waiting.
