as I remember it?

Sorry, to trouble you fellows; however, I'd noticed there were a few guys who'd ventured to 'our tip' - biz or pleasure. So, I thought I'd ask. I haven't been there since I was thirteen ('78), yet it left  very different thoughts in my head vs. much of S.A. , at least in a conceptual sense.

How's Chile?

Hi Burke89,

You may have seen some of my posts on Chile.

I live in Santiago. I have lived here for over a year and half.  Chile is very nice place.  Relatively safe?  Chile is safer than most of the USA now days.  Since you have been here, it has changed a lot. I have traveled all over SA and Chile is the best country in SA. Chile is very modern, very clean, and the women love gringos. The skiing is great, and the wine is fantastic.

But whatever you do, don't come here, leaves more women for me.  I let you all you fools head off to Colombia.

There is only major problem with the women in Chile.  Not many I have met want to live in the USA these dsys. Way too dangerous, terrorism and the like. I find it a bit of an irony with the guys going to Colombia.

take care,
mike

south.

If I did, however, I'd know where to go, indeed.

I'll let you keep your secret safe.

Did you happen to read Karen Araujo's book: Dos Visiones? It hasn't been published (it was published in Santiago) in English, yet. I sent a copy to a mate in Spain; and he, well explained a few of the finer points to the O.C. lad.

hence, my query.

I'd recalled a couple of fellows (on this board) who'd ventured to the 'tip'.

So, perhaps the ecomomic issues wern't paramount, as in Russia or...

I don't know, with the exception: - it (Chile) was beautiful, when I was a youngster, and I'd love to hear more.

Just looking for success/travel stories: not cross- board arguements.

Regards, Vaughn
