Forget the stupid gun you can't shoot peeping toms. You will end up in jail. Get the motion sensor. They don't shed and eat less than a doberman. You don't need a ccw license in your own home. JIM C

Good to hear you are ok. I have the cure for things like this. I have a 110 pound male 4 year old Doberman Pinscher. and they hear EVERYTHING! things you never would hear. That guy would have never got on the patio with the "pup" inside and i can assure you he would be thankful he didnt.

I may do that.  I'm also having trouble with dogs in the park not on a leash that chase my little son.  A large dog could put a stop to that.

Hi Steve,
Eerie. I live in the country and we never, ever have anything like this. I would be reticent to hazard a guess to the motive of the intruder.

However, because I am good at stating the obvious, vigilance is in order. At the very least, a motion sensor with light might be good for peace of mind. If you really wanted to get tricky and don't want a dog, you could add the motion sensor activated tape of a dog barking security system.

Good luck, be safe....

Rob

Both excellent ideas.  I was thinking about the motion sensor lights and maybe an external video camera.  I have a friend who has a system with external motion detectors and they turn on lights inside his house when someone approaches.  That way it gets his attention, too, if he is awake.
