I recently purchased a ad in a magazine published by I love Latins.  I have had several responses over the last few weeks.  One in particular interested me.  The gal says she comes form a wealthy family in Meddelin.  Funny when the mag. is a local Barranquilla publication.  She recived it from a relative.  Since she has been writing me she has recieved alot of criticism and told only 2 of ten marriages to Americans work.  Her next letter stated she had recently heard of a gal from Cali that married an american and suffered alot behind it.  I responded and told her I was the one, but the story she got was bogus.  We will see if she writes back.  It surprised me to here that my news had traveled so far and wide.
At any rate I'll be back in Colombia next month to meet some ladies and to relax.  I did met a very nice gal from Amigos.com that I plan on seeing.

It really shouldn't surprise you that the tales of your prior relationship have travelled far and wide... What is a woman's favorite activity, gossip... And what is their favorite topic to talk about??? Relationships!!! Especially for the ladies in LA that are pursuing a relationship with a foreign man... I know this to be true, at least with girls that frequent and use agencies in their search...

Many of the girls that frequent agencies become friends, just as guys tend to bond at some level when they meet other guys in this pursuit... The girls meet at parties, double-dates, through friends and at the agencies... Since the one thing they all have in common is the search for a foreign husband, they talk about the topic de jour, MEN... They DO compare notes on this man and that one, this one is cheap, that one only wants to go to bed, this one over here cannot makeup his mind, and oh yes, this gringo, he breaks my friends heart... I've had a few interesting conversations with my novia concerning the girl's perspective on this process... Many girls are very guarded until you make a committment at some level, and rightfully so...
