I like your response to my post. I sincerely hope the best for you and your new wife. Yes, your search was a little shorter than mine, but maybe it could have been because:
1.) You knew what your were looking for in a mate when you started. I can't say the same. I started younger than most, and it took me a few years to learn how to screen out undiserable candidates. Plus, I wasn't ready to settle down too early, and I wanted to meet all the women I could meet. I'm starting to lose this desire for meeting so many women. I'm ready to be serious about one.
2.) I had other obligations and priorities with finishing my Ph.D. that I didn't want to sacrifice by getting married. Well, I'm happy that I'll be done this year. And out of all the people I did meet, my hardest task is narrowing down the list of quality women to marry. It's allot harder than it sounds, and it does make a guy feel kind of bad because in the end someone will be disappointed.
3.) Or maybe a combination of the first two.
