I had to work, didn't hear anything about it on radio or TV (opps, didn't have the TV on anyway). That radio guy sent me a canned 'dear listener, thank you for blah blah blah' computer generated response and nothing else. So if anybody went or heard anything, why not post it here and let us know.

Below information came from the Texas Service Center complaint board.

Hello Everyone,
I know you are anxious to hear a first person account of the protest. We were a small group that is a fact. However, due to our huge faxing campaign we received tremendous coverage from the media. We were filmed by 2 TV stations. I have not seen the news to see if it will actually be shown, but in my opinion all was a success because we talked to Director Dana Powell. She was unable to answer any questions and tried to place all the blame on the call center. But, Stephanie showed her Jerry's data and she was shocked that we had so much information to back us up. As a Director I was hoping that she would be more forthcoming with information however I believe her hands are tied. However, she has promised to follow up on our inquires and has taken our SRC #s and names. I don't think I will hold my breath, but I feel a slight victory in just being able to talk to her and share our grievances. She seemed to be genuinely concerned and I hope to receive positive news.
For those of you who would like to bash the blond girl, go right ahead. That is me. I have done the best with the information that I had. We did start off at the District Office and waited there to talk with the media. There is no sign in front of the office at 7701 to show anything to do with the INS. However, once we were satisfied that whomever wanted to talk with us got the chance we moved 2 buildings down to "storm the fortress". We waited outside for 2 hours while they tried to frighten us away by calling the police. We knew we hadn't done anything wrong so we stayed. They had to run a background check on us before they would talk to us. Finally, we talked with the people we hope can do something for the plight we all face. I can only hope to see some reaction out of these people. They seemed shocked that we came from Georgia, Florida and Lousiana just to show our displeasure.
If any of you are in doubt about our good intentions or our efforts I am sorry for you. I feel like I had a minor victory today in my journey through the INS maze.
Thanks to everyone for their support!
Sincerely,
Hilary
