I am now beginning the process of learning Portuguese (Brazilian).  Would appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you!

I would try a course in a local school but if thats not an an option, there are a few tape courses.

LIving language has a contential portuguese course that is ok.  not brazilian portuguse but it allows you to communicate just the same.

Pimsleur has a audio course, expensive  about 350 for complete course, but no books or writen exercises.  strictly audio.  techniques for memory really work. he has a short 4cd course as an intro for about 20 at any major book store.

also there is are some short courses in university book stores.

give me a buzz if you need to know more. I too will be hitting the books again preparing for my second trip to Brazil soon.
