Andre, tell us more. Have you travelled to San Pedro Sula, Tegus or elsewhere in Honduras? I've been told though that the ladies on average, just aren't as pretty as the Colombianas.

Ala Patrick's post below, I'm interested in a country where I could eventually retire to in relative peace--Colombia doesn't meet that criteria and probably never will given its history of violencia.

Costa Rica has the largest population of expatriates out of the USA. They have no military, so I think that would be a great country to retire to. Also Costa Rica has some great beauties and great beaches.

Hold on there Jim, I said they had pretty women, but (as I understand it, Andre, correct me if necessary) they are dirt poor, no infrastructure, no education, no nothing, probably the poorest country on the American mainland. I don't know if that's your idea of a good retirement place or not. I am only aware of one agency in Honduras (runs group tours but I think is open only when they are actualy conducting a tour, no perminate in country facility). Can't think of the name of it right now, but it's in the agency links. It's run by a Cuban who came over in the big boat lift. I've had some emails with him, but it's been like a year or more. From the emails, he seemed like an upright/honest real nice guy.

I'm looking into going to LA & started to consider going there but am having trouble finding an agency to help me out. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes.. Michael everything you said in your post is on the money,its in the bottom area but its not poorest country.The Cuban guy is  Alberto.. honest guy just like you said.His final  tour party was this  past weekend because of the economy and his lack of marketing.Last March I travel there to see my girl in San Petro and had a good time in the new plaza square.I was amazed at the women.... some pretty...some fine.....some cute...tight jeans everwhere....all different shades of  skin color....I know that COLOMBIA is top dog  but Honduras is in the top 5.The girls there are more homebody, because the job market is DEAD.Its not as cheap as Colombia like meals,hotel, taxi but its cheap.The education is getting better but its still has a long way to go.
