Thanks I'll check it out. I was surprised to see so few responses. I guess most men prefer to take the chance & have them write first rather than the other way around.

Some guys have reported success running newspaper ads in LA... This will probably net you the highest number of responses in the shortest period of time... A personal ad in El Tiempo in Bogota or El Pais in Cali will generate some responses from interested ladies... Some guys here have said that advertising in the TLC catalog or South of the Border or amigos.com generate a decent response rate... These are some of the most visible places to place an ad...

I can't vouch for these methods personally as I have a differing view on trying to start a relationship via correspondence... I do have a profile posted on some of the agency websites in Colombia which generate about 5 responses a month... That's probably not what you're looking for though...

I was thinking about Latin Dreams (I think) where they have an internet ad for $75? That sounds pretty cheap so I'll give it a try. As for the EE board I went to Lugansk, Ukraine in November & had a blas. HOWEVER I am half Latino so I already am fluent in Spanish & I am a sucker for brunnettes...well you know where I coming from. I found Ukrainian women a little "cold" actually. I'm so used to latinas. I am going to place ads on both Ukrainian places & Latino sites & see what happens.

Since you have a head start, being part latino, fluent in Espanol and living close to Mexico, you will fall in LOVE with Colombia... I live near Mexico too and have traveled "South of the Border" often... There is NO comparison between Mexico and Colombia... Every Mexicana I have met either had an attitude or was working an angle... The girls in Colombia are much sweeter than Mexicanas in my opinion... I'll probably get flamed for that last statement, but hey, that's my experience...

IMHO, correspondence just doesn't get it done... I tried it when I first started the pursuit and just wasted alot of time and energy... There is NO substitute for hopping a plane to LA...

Mexicanas all have attitudes or working angles?  D@mn, tell me what cities you were in in mexico so I can stay out of them.  I guess colombianas are too sweet to work angles.  Tell that to elcolombiano, he can't see the writing on the wall, he has a colombiana with an attitude and a major angle.  I am sure colombianas are sweet, and they use it to pull the wool over your eyes till you get them up here.  Not all of them, but a hell of a lot of them.  Mexicanas are like colombianas, you have to find the right one.

I knew that was coming... lol... Didn't mean to offend anyone, but like I said, that's been my experience... I've been to Monterey, Guadalajara, Reynosa, Matamoros and some of the other border towns, like Nuevo Laredo, etc...

I know that there are bad apples everywhere, but again, that has been my experience with Mexicanas... Sure, I've met some Colombianas of questionable character too... I live in Houston and there are a ton of Latinas here from Mexico... Dated a lawyer from Mexico City for awhile... Most of the ones I've met here in Houston are already "Americanized"... I guess that's where my attitude comes from about Mexicanas...

We are all just a sum of our past experiences...

Now if I can just pull your foot outta my azz!!!

I didn't want the lurkers here to think mexicanas are not good women.  I hear you about the americanized mexicanas here in the states and in the border towns.  I met a great girl in Guadalajara, there are plenty of good ones out there, same in Colombia.  H@ll, if I had more spare cash back at Christmas, I would have gone to Cali.  As it is, I'm glad I went to Guadalajara, and I'll be going back soon.

what is LA? Sorry I SERIOUSLY don't know what you mean. I'm familiar with Cali, Medellin, & Barranquilla. I was thinking of going to either Barranquilla or Medellin. I sort of afree with you on the Mexicans otherwise I would be marrying one. They are a bit stuck up. I go to Mexico EVERY week sometimes 2-3 times. I was seeing a girl from there but she is NOT marriage minded. TOTALLY GORGEOUS thought! LOL!! As a matter of fact I'm spending this Sunday with her. She's taking ME out! LOL!!! She just wants to party though. I am sort of warming up to a girl from Monterrey but man she is only around 19 or 20! She is a good girl, virgin, Christian the whole bit but I don't know man. She doesn't make my heart go pitter patter. If what you are saying is true then perhaps I will have a good time. I'll have one anywhere man, it's the attitude. The only thing that worries me is finding a MARRIAGE minded girl not just one to bang. Right now I'm looking at going back to Ukraine in April unless something REALLY pops up in Columbia. As for the correspondence to me it's like a warm up prior to the visit so you already know each other's thoughts to a certain extent. The meeting will determine if you have "chemistry". I'll see.

LA is just an abbreviation for Latin America... It's a pretty broad territory... Many of the guys here focus on Colombia because of the number of agencies there... I'm not saying Colombia is the best, but because most of us have limited time and limited Spanish skills, it makes sense... You can meet a number of marriage minded ladies in a short period of time... Most of the time it becomes a problem of deciding which girl you want to focus on...
