No more News in Mexico

Mexico has lost two of it's major newspapers, Novedades and The News. Dec. 31. was the last edition for both of them. "The Spanish-language Novedades published for 65 years and was among Mexico's leading papers in the 1960s and 1970s. The News, Mexico City's only English-language newspaper, published for 53 years."

Back in the '70's, I used to live about a block from where they were printed.
