Colombia has announced that they will close eighty-nine (89) counsolate offices in the following countries: Germany, Australia, Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Greece, Guyana, Haiti, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Morocco, Mexico, the Netherlands, Czech Republic,Rumania, Singapur, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela.
Also, they will open 21 new ones in the following countries: Austria, Ecuador, United States, France, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, México, Nicaragua, Netherlands, Paraguay, Poland and República Dominicana.
The article said they are closing some due to not enough citizens/business to justify their expense and opening new ones where there is a need. (Notice that some of the countries are on both the closing and opening list, I assume that means they will close in one city and open in another city in the same country). The article didn't give the date when this will become effective.
