....Is moving to Los Angeles the 13th. of July to pursue her dreams. I raised her myself since she was 5 months old. She is 18 now. I am having a very hard time. Seems like just yesterday she was 3 years old and watching the Wizard of Oz on t.v. listening to Judy Garland sing "Somewhere ovber the Rainbow. She always cried when she heard it. I know this has nothing to do with this board but I had to share. Thanks.

Mine is 21 and i think still not mature enuff to live on her own.  I hope yours will be with friends or family there.  Its the land of liberals and you know how they can lie and rationalze its the right thing.

Stephen and I are out here, after all. My Japanese daughter just turned 25 on Friday and she just a little to the right of Pat Buchannon.

Not permitted off the reservation...

Of course "right wing" is relative out here.  Our Republican congressman is a surfer bum!  Gotta love this place. :-)

There’s still a few of us left down here too. But times are changing and I’m afraid California is going down the toilet.

Our surfer bum congressman (Brian Bilbray) just lost out to a Latina Democrat in the last election, just like you guys lost old “B-1 Bob”. I guess it’s a sign of the times.

We're not ALL commies out here in California (ROFL!)

I raised three daughters here. One Democrat, one Republican, and one don’t give a rat’s ass. So, I guess it’s a wash :-)

(BTW, the Republican daughter lives in Huntington Beach also)

Hello Mars,
I know how you feel.  My daughter is now 13 (don't laugh). I was just looking at her the other day and I was thinking how little time I have left to influence her life. I remembered when she would watch Beauty and the Beast over and over with enjoyment. I still have the copy of B&B and I asked her if she wanted to watch and her answer was no.  I really felt let down.  Time passes so fast with children.

My oldest son is now 29 and I rarely hear from him bec of his busy schedule.

I wish your daughter the very best.

Regards,
Alvin
