Consular Filings

Does anyone know if they are still allowing consular filings for 10 day entrance into the US after marriage in Colombia.  I have heard that Clinton changed the law and I was wondering if they are still allowing this in Bogota.

Yes, depending on the country.

Nothing has changed in the last 12 months.

Consular filing remains the same, and rhe process is still taking on average 10 - 14 working days.

Do keep in mind that notaries are closed during the holiday season and will not re-open until mid january.

Wayne,
Its 10 business days minimum(14 calender days) between when you file at the Embassy(in person) and your wifes 2nd appt.If everything is in order she gets it(the visa) that day,and can leave immediately.
I have heard stories of ladies being allowed to return for the 2nd appt. in less than 2 weeks now.That used to be the hard and fast rule,perhaps no more.
