Hi Stephen and Tess,

I hope the two of you are doing well.  I want to thank you for the encouragement when I first came to the board to tell my story about my ex wife.  It meant alot.  I read the board alot but I rarely post.

I noticed that Tess was from Butuan City.  I have been communicating with a wonderful lady from that area for awhile.  She goes to school in Butuan City but I think that she lives about 30 minutes outside the city.  It is getting serious and I am thinking of going there in October or November.  I am trying to workout my vacation plans now at work.  I have been talking to my good friend Howard about flights to the Philippines.  I have flown Philippine Airlines before twice to Davao City.  I have never had any problems with them.  I was wondering if the two of you had any recomendations for that part of the Philippines?  I have heard that it is beautiful so I am really excited about going.

Hello Keith:

Sorry I have not been to the board in the last couple of days.  Tess and I left for vacation in Colorado on Wednesday....and I'm just making it to the internet cafe.

I have never had any trouble in Butuan City.  Of course, you should always be aware and keep on the alert.

I can recommend a very nice motel in Butuan City.  It's DOTIES PLACE.  The price is about $20-$25 per night.  I was not able to go there in April, but Tess did and she said that they were putting in a pool.  It's a clean motel with AC, tv, hot/cold water and good maid service.  I don't think you'll go wrong with it.

I think you're wise in not giving up on the PHils.  Yes, there are some bad fish in the pond.  But there are plenty of good one available also.

Hi Stephen,

I hope that you and Tess have a wonderful trip.  I have heard a lot of great things about Colorado.  I had some friends of mine move there from North Carolina and they love it.  

Anecita,  told me that Butuan City is a peaceful place.  I am looking forward to visiting.  My ex was from Babak, just across from Davao City.  I am used to being aware of my surroundings.  There were alot of Muslims in that area.  Everytime we went to the Mall, McDonalds or caught the Ferry we were checked for bombs.  Thank you for the advice and I will heed that advice always.

Sounds like DOTIES PLACE, is just what I need while I am there.  Anecita, wants me to stay at her place.  She said that she would prepare a room for me.  I am not sure what I am going to do just yet.  I stayed at me ex's place when I was there and at times even with the fans the heat was unbearable.

Stephen, I fell in love with the Philippines and the people there.  It is my home away from home.  I love the laid back lifestyle and the friendliness of the people there.  Not too mention the beautiful brown eyed, brown skin ladies.  LOL.

I had one other question for you and Tess.  Which airline do you use when you fly to Butuan City from Manila?  I have used PAL and I have never had any problems with them.
