Dear Members:
 I am going to be in Beijing the first week of Sept. would like to stay at a nice hotel but do not wish to pay too outlandishingly. I would pay upwards of around $160US a night. I've read that the Wangfujing Grand Hotel has a great location but the bathrooms are small. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help.

Very comfortable western style accommodations (big bathrooms, dual voltage wall sockets).  Its web site shows it runs about $75-105.  It's approx 1 or 2 blocks off from the center of town, within walking distance of the Forbidden City.  I'd stay there again.

why so much? Thats $800 usd for only 5 days.
