For me, the "responsibilities" as you refer to them are for me "priviliges."  I feel happiness in taking care of my loved one no matter what it is.  I do treat taking care of her as a "responsibility" but the happiness she would feel makes it a "privilege."

You are correct, it is a privelege, but when one marries they do have additonal responsibilities
