Damn, I am glad that's over.

Here's the timeline for those interested in such things (not me any more, tra-lah tra-lah):

12/30/03 I-129F for K3 received by NBC
NOA1 form dated 1/16/04 (online says 1/20)
NOA2 form dated 4/8/04
NVC to Manila on 4/19/04 per NVC
In Manila 4/21, not in their system until 4/26
Interview scheduled for 7/30 on 5/19.
K3 Visa approved 7/30.

Interestingly enough (Ray!) they didn't even blink at an NSO birth cert with a date three weeks different from all her other stuff. AND she didn't even submit a marriage cert!

Howard- what happened at the interview?

Ron- good luck on the 20th.

But, hey, Northwest says a one-way from Manila to Bangor is $1400! Any ideas? (I already emailed Jeff Jenks.)

Congrats!!!

Hey, something to think about.  I just got a price from Northwest of $777.80, which is about what I expected, from Manila to Detroit.  Maybe you can get a cheap flight from Maine to DTW and save money that way.  Just a thought.

Great News!

I checked into Northwest, Manila to Detroit, and it was nearly $2000. My fiance has a friend whose family has a travel agency, and she can get the same ticket from them for about $800.

That was a long 7 months!

$1400 is pretty steep. Why don't you let her shop around for a ticket over there and see what she can come up with? My wife got a great deal from a travel agent in Cebu (under $400 Cebu-LA).
