Hey Ken,
Your daughter is real cute. I just got back from
the P.I. last week. I made the rounds in Luzon.
I visited Subic Bay, Taygaytay, Angeles City,
      and also Batangus.

Cool Joemc,

I never got to to do the sight seeing tour of Manila. Hopefully next time. One of my dreams is to stay in the old Manila hotel and vist Corregidor Island.

Take care,
Surigao Ken

Hi Ken,

It looks like little Mary was really enjoying the trip.

Did you have a bowl of that crab & corn chowder at the Gateway? Good stuff!

Hey Ray!

No, I didn't get a chance to try the Gateway Chowder. During our stay in Surigao we rented a house on Narsico Street. We purchased our groceries at the local Sari- Sari Store and bought Maruya during the early afternoon. I really miss that place.
At this time we are building Nanay's house in Bunyasan, a real solid concrete structure, hopefully it will withstand the typhoons!!!!.

Take care old friend and Nancy says hello to Migs.

Ken,

Tell us about your trip to Siargao Island. Where did you guys stay and what did they charge? Did you bring your surfboard and ride the surf break at Cloud Nine? :-)

Hey Ray!

On Siargao Island, we stayed at the Travelers Lodge. It cost 1300 pesos per room with air con. Each room had four beds with a C.R. Of course you had to tkae a bucket bath, but at least the toilets flushed. Which is a big plus with me!
The lodge was nice, kind of a rough-it mentality. We hired a local lady to cook all our meals which they delivered to our lodge. We stayed two days and one night and the cost for meals and lodging was 600 dollars. That incudes 25 people and a roast pig for the big party.

No surf board for me, but the waves looked mighty big coming off the Pacific ocean onto the reef. It was a nice quiet place, full of glorious sunshine and cool fresh air reflecting of the the topaz ocean, we will go again one day.

Take care,
Surigao Ken
