Hello All
Last thursday my fiance received Packet 3 and when I called her today (sunday) she has filled them out, photocopied them in triplicate, and put it in the mail off to the consulate. The funny thing to me is the fact that she went to church, afterwards walked to The 5 star White Swan hotel to copy and mail it, and then it is mailed virtually next door to the Consulate. All 3 locations are within 1/8 of a mile of each other. I wonder however if the packet goes from the post office at the White Swan hotel to the main central Guangzhou Post office and then back to the consulate. She asked me is she should seek confirmation that the consulate received it but I said I don't think the situation would get too much safer with the proximity than it is now.
I downloaded the forms ahead of time and I sent the copies to her so she could review what they are asking about and obtain the information that the you be requesting.
I know I am blessed that My Fiance is so efficient but my request now is that we can skip discussing the visa process for the next 2 - 3 weeks as it starts the limbo waitng process for a few months until receiveing packet 4 and an interview date ha ha ha.
May 18 mailed application
May 20 received in vermont 1st NOA
June 1 application approved
June 4 NVC receives
June 24 NVC mails to Guangzhou
July 22 Guangzhou Recieves it
July 28 Kat receives packet 3
Aug 1 Mailed back to consulate
our projected time frame
NOV - Dec - Jan Kat hopefully has interview and is approved.
March - April 2005 Winter breaks here in rochester and Kat has time
to organize her life and I return to china to get
her.
April - may - June Wedding
If I was still living in california I would be waiting until september or october before they even reviewed my application assuming I sent it in on may 18 th.
