I had been holding off on making any kind of post for two reasons. Mainly, I didn't wanna jinx anything by posting prior to Gerlie receiving her visa and I didn't wanna scare anyone with an interview scheduled. I guess, after Harold's inquiry and a little thought on the subject, that now is as good a time as any to share

The Medical was a breeze. It was a long day, but easy enough. She had to go back for the results on the following Monday, which made for a restless weekend
All in all, it worked out well. Just like I knew it would
The interview was a NIGHTMARE!!! She was interviewed by a Black guy in his mid to late 20's. An American. She said he was not the nicest guy in the world! He spent most of his time complaining that my Annulment papers were not in order, which, of course, they were! He was asking her all kinds of ridiculous questions about my Annulment, things that she would have no way of knowing. After about 20 minutes on the phone with a supervisor or somthing he worked out his issues with my Annulment--without telling Gerlie everything was worked out--and sent her back to the waiting room to be called to room 35.
Gerlie didn't realize the importance of the date stamp on emails, when you're using them as evidence. She pasted all of my emails into a word doc and printed the doc. This gave them 400 some emails over a two and a half year period, but nothing to substanciate the time frame. When they called her name again, they gave her a form that told her they required more evidence and Email was what they asked for.
Luckily, she saved all the original email from me. She just had to go to an internet cafe and reprint them all from Yahoo, so that the date stamp was on the email. I apologized to her for not thinking and printing her's out with mine and sending them with the package I sent for her interview. I just totally didn't think about it!
Armed with 400 some emails, to add to the ones I sent that they accepted, she return on Monday July 26th for another interview. This time the interviwer was a lady and nice. She looked over her paperwork, the request for more evidence, the reprinted emails and said that she would receive notice in two or three weeks back in Davao. Gerlie asked a couple of times if she was actually approved, which no one gave a straight answer to.
So that's where we stand. She seems pretty confident from what others said, that were approved, that she is approved and will receive her visa in the next couple of weeks. Me? I'm pretty sure we met all the criteria and submitted a complete set of documents. I KNOW we meet the requirements. I am remaining guardedly optomistic and just praying my ASS off that she gets the Visa soon and we are reunited. I miss her a GREAT deal and am SO ready to get on with our life as a married couple!!!
Keep the Faith Guys
Congrats to those you have recently been approved and those who are waiting for interviews are in our prayers
Your Pal,
H
