Yes Yan, he will definitely need to submit photocopies of any and all complete divorce decrees with both the I-130 and I-129F petitions for the K-3. At the embassy visa interview, they often ask for original certified copies of the divorce decrees also.

Some of the ladies have been asked for copies of the divorce decrees at the CFO seminar too, so be sure to have plenty of photocopies on hand. He should get certified copies from the court or county where the divorce was granted.

... in response to Divorce Decrees, posted by Ray on May 29, 2004

i got a neighbor who is getting married with her american fiancee but instead of using the divorce papers to get the capacity to marry, they are going to use the death certificate of the second wife. He is not divorced with the first wife yet. But as what my mother said, my neighbor is going to file the visa after they get the divorce done. Wont they have any problems with that, when their wedding is earlier than the divorce papers got released?

You mean he got married to the second wife before he got divorced from the first wife, and then he had to kill the second wife because she found out he was already married? And now he will marry the third wife before he gets divorced from the first wife and will have to kill the third wife like he did to the second wife when the third wife finds out that he murdered the second wife? I’m confused (LOL)…

If the divorce is not final yet then he is still legally married and he can not get married again. The new marriage will not be legal and he will be committing bigamy. If he intends to lie and commit perjury under oath to get the affidavit of legal capacity to marry from the consulate, then he is getting himself into even bigger trouble. What does the stupid fool think will happen when he turns in a marriage certificate with a date earlier than that on the divorce decree when he files the visa petition? Oh, let me guess… he is planning to have the date changed on the marriage certificate, right? Or maybe he just wants to have the honeymoon and then disappear? Sounds real romantic to me. Is this guy’s last name Clinton by any chance? LOL!

I would advise your neighbor to wake up and find another guy to marry, preferably one who is not married and doesn’t have any death certificates from his last wife…

his first wife died, and he is not divorced with his second wife yet. He is trying to get a capacity to marry using the first wifes birth certificate just to marry the third girl which is my neighbor. I think she should leave him now, lots of guys who are single that can marry her right away.

It sounds like he just wants to get in her pants. He knows the marriage will be illegal, so he can screw her for a few weeks and then he'll get on a plane and she'll never see him again. His fantasy vacation. That's my guess...

He'll probably tell his current wife that he'll be away on a business trip (LOL)

Why don't you invite your neighbor to join the forum so we can give her a dose of reality? :-)
