Now you've got to hurry up and find that job in your chosen profession, before she gets here.  You don't want her to see you working at the lunch counter at WalMart, do you?  -LOL!

Just kidding WB.  I hope your relocation is going smoothly.

My first K-1 petition was approved in about two hours. Of course that was back in the days when you just walk in to your local INS office and they process the petition on the spot...

12 days is FAST Windy! Congrats! Now you better start cleaning up the house (LOL)

Two hours!  It makes me realize how poor service we are getting nowdays from the federal government.

What year was this?

That was back in 1972. The whole fiancée visa process through Manila typically took 1-2 months total from filing the petition until she stepped off the plane. That was barely enough time to get the house cleaned up.

Then they came up with the brilliant idea to start the regional "service" centers and National Visa Center, to increase efficiency and service of course (LOL). I can't remember the processing fee back in 1972 but I think it was $15 or $25 (?)
