Anyone ever been to either of these places. Which one would you choose if you had to pick one?

been there done that, choice is easy went in rainy season on ferries with my motorbike.   My peronal opionion only, but Bohol and Panglao Island was the nicest I seen on my travel throughout the Visayas.  Palawan with its signs saying Dangy and Malaria area is ok for guys with the backpack.  If however you want to see monkeys crossing the road and the underground river in locations hard to get too then Palawan is the place for you.  The rewards are for the one who works for it.

It's hard to compare the two. Bohol is a lot easier to get to and travel around on. I would avoid traveling to Palawan in the rainy season! You can ask Peter Lee about that. Palawan would be much more of an adventure.  If I where you I would do some reading in the Lonely Planet Travel book first.  Hum
