How long does it take for our petition to get from
the NSC to the NVC, and then onto the Manila embassy?

Our petition was approved on March 3rd, so now we are
waiting for the next step. When the embassy sends out
the packet to my fiance, does it already include a
date for the interview, and do they send it via
regular mail or FedEx? I think regular mail takes
about 10 days to get to where she lives now.

from approval to interview these days.

You will be mailed notification from NVC and from the Embassy. You can call either one to find out current status.

The packet will include an interview date. It should arrive between one and two months from approval date.

The packet is not sent regular mail- she will have to pay the courier and sign for it.

Ugh, another 3 months wait. I guess I should be happy
since everything went well with the first step, but
after going through NSC, another 3 months is frustrating.

I figured that the NVC would take a week or so, and then
the interview would be scheduled about a month or so later.

Thanks for the tips. I'll get in touch with the NVC in
about a week, and see if they've gotten the petition
and what is going on. We've gotten all of our paperwork
ready, so I guess its just time to sit back and wait.

I'm just trying to get a ballpark idea of when this
will all take place. I'll probably go over there before
her medical and interview for moral support. She's very
shy, and I'd rather be there with her thru all of it.

Roughly, how much is the courier fee to deliver
the packet to her in Southern Leyte? I want to
make sure she has that amount saved for that and
not to spend it on anything else.. Thanks in advance. Smiley
