Harold,

That new procedure is listed under the Non-Immigrant Visa Branch. K-Visas are processed by the Immigrant Visa Branch.

Directions do say:

"All applicants must follow these steps:

...

C. Schedule an interview or drop box submission"

Which, of course, is inappropriate for K visas.

A DS-156 with barcode is sent in the K visa interview packet, yes?

In any case, I would assume instructions in K visa interview packet would change to reflect this if necessary.

So, never mind!
