Hello everybody, well I called the Embassy again to ask about when\if an intterview had been scheduled for my wife and as usual the woman on the phone attempted to give me the run-around. At that point I asked to speak with a Consular Officer and I was put on hold for about 1 minute.

The same woman got back on the line and then informed me that my wife was scheduled for an interview April 2, 2004 and that her packet was sent out a day earlier. My hope is that this informtion is true and not just a fabrication to get me off of the phone. I guess we will see.

Thanks, wolverine

Well just got off the phone with the Embassy.  No runaround, was told Maricel's Interview is like yours April 2nd 6.30am Friday as Ray Predicted.  The packages are not made up yet and I was to expect a Fed Ex delivery around the 5th of March.  This is good news and we are processed earlier than most before us so we are lucky.  The woman at the Embassy did not want to commit to any exact date the K3 packages would be sent out.   But she did make an exception as I told her about Maricel having to travel one day to reach the address they will send it too.
I was going to wait till Wed to call but since you got an Interview date and ours is about the same time you motivated me to call and I am glad I did.

Now I have no way to reach Maricel in the no cell phone coverage area she lives in.   We chat about every 4 days and we just chatted last night.   I will get with her this week and tell her the good news next time we chat.
So keep in touch as whatever you go through I will also.
Thanks and see you later

Congratulations Peter and to Wolverine also for making it to another milestone. That was a pretty good guess about April 2nd, wasn’t it? Sometimes you just get lucky (LOL).

Does your wife have her bags packed and all of her evidence prepared for the interview?

One tip: Make damn sure that those letters or e-mails that she submits for proof of valid relationship are well screened for content. There is at least one consular officer who likes to read the letters and there better not be anything of a questionable nature in them. Better to stick with the mushy love letters and anything from the in-laws looks good too.

Hello,

If what you have found out is on going then mine should be on the way also.   The problem is that my wife is a day away from the delivery address by ferry.   So I better call them tonight as I need the extra notice that they are sending the package.  Fed Ex tries 3 attempts and then sends it back to the embassy.  She must sign it herself as no one can sign for her so I will call the Embassy tonight and see what they tell me.  Thanks for the wake up call.
