Well, I also have her Interview date for 2 April as Ray predicted.  I will have her go to Cebu on the 1st March to wait on the K3 package.   When I called the Embassy I was told if the package didn't arrive by the 19th to give them another call.  There guess was it will arrive about on the 5th March.

Qustion:
We had 5 NSO birth certificates, she used 3 of them and I have two here in the USA as I was told I would need them later.

When applying for the NSO birth certificate again it will be done in Cebu and I am wondering how long it would take to get it?  I will as before order 5 more and I wish I ordered more than 5 last time.

I am concerned about her keeping large amounts of money on her person for the visa fees air plane fares for two pension house rentals food and transportation.   My plan was to deposit money in the ATM that would cover her expenses.  That way she could take it out as she needed and only keeping what she needs to carry with her.
Is this a good idea?

Since her Interview is on Friday 2nd April I looked at the caledar and plan on her leaving for Manila on the 24th of March.  She will have 25th and 26th to go to St Luke's clinic.   The weekend cuts into her time there.  So there is 4 more working days to retest any problems at the clinic before the Interview.  Is this a good plan?

Thanks

My experience, if you order online, NSO stuff will be delivered in less than two weeks to Cebu.

I've got lots of relatives in Cebu City, so if I can be of assistance, just holler.

Thanks for the comback,

Maricel was told that the NSO birth certificate would arrive on 8th March and five of them.   I had done this before so they are usually on time.

A bank wire transer would cost me $50 regardless of the amount.  Western Union about $32 for $250.  Putting funds in an ATM accessible account is by far the smartest way to provide funds.  Mail her the card, but get her the PIN via email or phone.  DO NOT send the PIN with the card.

Peter,

She used 3 birth certificates for what??? Have her make a bunch of photocopies, 2 sides front & back. Whenever she needs to present a copy of her birth or marriage cert, she can give them a photocopy along with the original to verify the copy. The embassy may or may not want to keep the original, but most other agencies will accept the verified photocopy in lieu of the original.

The schedule sounds fine, but I would remind her that traveling during Holy Week (Apr 2-11) in the Philippines can sometimes be rather difficult, so she may want to book her return transportation or lodging in advance.

Ok Ray, and thanks for all the past information I would really like to meet you one day and thank you in person.
Ya, I don't remember where we used those NSO birth certificates, one was her CFO and passport and another was at the Consolat and the other was for her marriage certificate and the civil ceremony.  I felt strange ordering 5 NSO birth certificates at the time.   Now I wish I ordered 10 coz they are cheap while your there.  I took 2 NSO birth certificates home with me as I thought I would need them here too.   Oh well, but we have time to get more so it should be ok.  What I remember who ever we gave the NSO birth certificates all wanted the originals.  For sure I will try the photo copies in the future.   I have never been there during Holy Week so I will add that in her traveling plans for her trip home.
