"If a man is able to go overseas because he knows he can get more for his balance in terms of age, looks ect." The operative word there is 'IF.'  That's not why a lot of men look overseas.

I'm proud of little gregory, he's attending two private schools. Caring for him alone as a single Parent is kinda difficult, but I'm happy that he's here and not there in RP. How is little handsome Matthew??? Btw, gregory is only 3 years old..he wear clothes that fit a 5 year old..right now he's 3 feet 5 inches tall, weight 50lbs ..Unbelievable

Hey Feb, I only got that silly question once. It was a gate guard checking ID's at the Navy base entrance. I told him "No, that's my granddaughter you silly boy!"  I would have said something else, but he was carrying a loaded M-16 (LOL!)

Did you ask your friend if she wore white at her wedding? Wouldn't that be ironic if she got some dreaded disease and her husband had to change HER diapers? Just thinking out load. Anyway, it’s all her husband’s fault…he should have picked an ugly one! :-)

Ray, I didn't see any ugly ones.  Where are they now?

Anyway I asked the Philippine men why they arn't mad at us foreigners for taking their women.

They said it's ok we have such bad taste we only take the ugly ones and leave the pretty ones for them LOL.

Told to me in the Cebu police station by qualified plain clothed agents who would for a small fee fix any violation on your license.

Hi Peter,

Filipinos seem to think that mestizas are beautiful...a hold-over from Spanish colonial times. I find many of the mestiza movie stars to be friggin' butt ugly.

Wow, even though I know this happens, it is still shocking to read.  It really makes me sad what people do.

I've been at this 5 years and am ready to give up; it seems safer. Even with so many people in the world, it has been hard to find an honest person.

You been to the PI yet Jon?

Seen a bunch of honest ones who returned stuff I lost on the ferry.  Pig farmers women are mostly honest chicken farmers too.  Gotta go down there to meetem.

Find the one not looking for you.

When I met my wife she was just someone wanting to chat.  I literally had to court her and prove my value as a mate because her plans had never included being married but working to support her family.  She didn't claim she loved me in the first few months (or in her posts like some of the others).  Never asked for anything and refused any offers of assistance.  She was willing to answer all my questions honestly (and I never lied or exagerated to her questions).

I think the safest way is and always will be through introduction.  I have seen several stories like Febtember's going both ways (guys who took advantage of the girls and of course visa versa).  But I know some awesome Filipinas here who make outcasts of "bad girls" like that and refuse to be around them, my wife included.  When you find someone like that you can trust then you can be sure that any introduction she makes for you will be supportive even after that introduction is here.  Right now I am helping 3 different guys find Filipinas to write and 6 Filipinas find guys.  All of these Filipinas are sisters of Filipinas in successful Fil-Am relationships.   The guys I am helping I let know from the beginning that I value the friendships my wife and I have made here and we'll only help nice guys with serious intent.  Lots of guys ask but as soon as they see whats involved they usually drop into the background.  I've gotten to where I make a guy ask at least twice and then I tell him the difficulties I have seen (like Febtember's story) every negative about long distance relationships I dealt with.  Not many ask again.

Lastly, prayer.  Pray likes its up to Heavenly Father and search like its up to you.  Works everytime because family is what he is all about.

Jon;

Finding an honest one can be a real challenge sometimes. Perhaps stop and take some time to figure out if something may wrong with your approach.

Are you meeting them the wrong places? The 'gold diggers' and scammers have infilterated the internet dating sites. Very hard to find a good one that way, but they ARE there, you just have to figure out how to tell the difference.

Are you telling them the wrong things to give them the wrong impression? This is a sure way to set yourself up to be taken advantage of.

Is there some way you can alter your search method to 'weed out' the bad ones early on, so you don't waste valuable time on them?

The 'old timers' here know what kind of trouble I reported trying to find an honest one. Read my response to the 'Filipinas and money' string below. If you want more detail, email me privately.

We might come and visit you this summer.  Honey's family is moving to Bohol (we think) and I've always wanted to see Dumaguete.
