Hi Everyone....I just came back from 2 fabulous weeks in the Philippines , my first trip but not my last . I traveled alone but was never lonely due to the wonderful hospitality of the Filipinas I met everywhere I went . After experiencing that level of warmth and unselfish consideration I wonder if words can do it justice , certainly not mine . Guys , if anyone here is hesitating to take the plunge and go for the first time , just do it . If your worried about security in any way , just as information , I felt generally safer than i would in the streets of Detroit , not a great endorsement maybe , but at least the same survival skills and street smarts served me well .
I want to publicly thank May_10 for her extreme generosity and hospitality , a former frequent contributor to this board , now engaged to an American guy from Denver . Barry , if you see this , your a lucky man for sure . And last but maybe first , the elusive Mica , who reads this board faithfully every day but doesn't post . She unselfishly , along with May , drove me everywhere I needed to go while in Manila . She has proven to be a true friend and maybe we can convince her to come out of the woodwork when we post our pics on Jeffs Asian Sweetie Site . She is a perfect representation of a true Filipina !
That's all for now , I'm too tired after the trip to begin to tell the story . I don't know if I ever can , but I'll try later when I'm rested ...Tom
