Sending Money Caution

My wife and I sent $400.00 + ($34.00 to send it) to the Philippines yesterday 1-30-2003 from Western Union. I have been sending money in USD for 4 years and no problems. But tonight when she called her mom (her mom is pretty smart) she said when she went to pick up her money at Western Union in Tagbilaran City, Bohol they told her they only had $200.00 in USD and she would have to take $200.00 in peso's. Well she knows when they said that, it would not be the full amount. So she went to another Western Union and they told her that we had only sent $200.00 she told them no, we had sent $400.00, at this one there were two men kind of looking at each other like what should I (we) do? They told her to come back in two hours and at that time they gave her the $400.00. I called Western Union, told them what had happened and they said they would send a rep. to check into everything. So be careful when you send money and see that what you are sending is getting there.
