At 48 not many, if almost no women in their early, mid to late30;s find me worth a look. I've been thinking I should have been more aggressive about finding a mate in my 30's.
  I do not want a woman my age because I decided I want children.
It seems women here think I am "too" old. I look younger.But, you can't change their mind.
  It seems incredible the phillipine women seem much less concerned about this issue. Hopefully they are serious about what they will
accept and not change and decide I am too old down the road should I marry one.

I think your expectations are very reasonable. If you’re 48 and looking for a wife in the mid to late 30’s range, and your plumbing is intact and you want to have children, then the Philippines is a good place to find what you are looking for. I think Filipinas in general make great mothers and excellent wives. If you want to have a lot of children (2+), then you might consider someone closer to 30 or late 20’s. I know it’s not the norm, but my first Filipina wife went through menopause at 38.

Some guys are interested in a nice “teenager” (18-21) and probably won’t have much trouble finding one in the Philippines. But they shouldn’t ignore the realities of having a wife much younger than themselves either. Keep in mind that when she is in her sexual prime (mid 30’s-mid 40’s), you may be hardly able to crawl to the drugstore to refill your Viagra prescription. You may reach that long-awaited retirement age where you want to relax, travel, and enjoy your golden years only to be tied down with dirty diapers or wild teenagers running amok. Your wife will likely be a widow with children to support and raise on her own, so make sure that she is independent enough to handle it and make sure you have a good life insurance policy. It may be a little difficult to play catch with your son when you are trying to hang on to your walker with one hand and catch the ball with the other. When you want to relax and listen to Mozart, she may have the TV turned on to MTV with the Backstreet Boys blaring away (sorry H :-) ). Personally, I have no problem with an older guy marrying an 18 year-old, as long as they both understand fully what they are doing and consider all the consequences.

Hi Chevy,

You will attract women from 1-100...probably even older, gays, ehhh... ))) Whoops, Sorry! Women of child bearing age...better make that women from 18 to pre-menopause. Your wanting to have children is a big plus with most Filipinas. You should have no problem meeting plenty of eligible women in your preferred age range. You'll probably end up with a woman younger than you had anticipated. After observing my wife, sister-in-law, and several other Filipina friends...believe me, they are serious about their marriages...whatever the age difference! Good Luck!

I can say that you will attract Filipinas of all age groups. A mature man is often seen as less of a playboy and more stable in his career. A better provider than a young man just starting out. As an American man you will have the advantage that American men are seen as very good husband material. Of course the possibility of living in America is attractive as well, especially to the poorer girls, but they are looking for a husband for life. The great majority of them, any how. Of course you will find cheats and liars that cannot be avoided. But in most cases the Filipina will not be looking to "upgraded" as soon as she arrives in the USA.

Mature men are also seen as wiser and more emotionally stable and less likely to abuse. They are not as hot tempered on average as young men. Their life experience is valuable and they make better and wiser fathers.

Some Filipinas also see more mature men as easier to please in bed but that is not always true. But they are almost always seen as less likely to stray with other women. A younger filipina wife thinks she can keep him happy at home and in bed and so he will not have the energy to fool around with other women especially if he knows he has to perform at home that night. There is an old saying that having children is for the young and raising them for the mature. A young wife and a mature husband satisfies both sides of the saying. I am certain if I set my husband down alone in Manila he would be beset by hopeful brides as young as 16, even mature looking 14 year olds, laws or no laws. So I have no intention of doing so. I keep close beside him whenever we are out so other women know he is taken. If I did not they would think I did not care and would try to get him.

So do not worry about your age it is a not-issue with 99% of Filipinas. And she will be very happy to have your children. In fact she will likely be eager to have your children and want to start as soon as possible. Children cement a marriage and make a family.

Well Chevy, I'm 47 and have been facing the same issues... I've been to LA and women there from 25 - 40 have no problem with my age... I recently placed a personal on a Philippine website and have been getting responses from 17 year olds... Lots of them... Now, that's way too young for me and problem speaks to the economic situation in PI... My point is that ladies from PI are MUCH more open to a greater age difference than anywhere else I have found...

The better question is WHO WILL MAKE THE BEST LIFE PARTNER... If you follow the RW and LW sections of this forum, you no doubt have read some of the horror stories men have reported... Scammers, green card sharks and ladies with their own agenda... I have not heard near as many of these situations with asian and specifically girls from PI... It goes to their religious background, no divorce in PI and yes, looking for a better life... I'm not saying that horror stories don't exist as I am sure they do... Not to mention that we only hear one side of these situation here on PL...

The bottom line is: whatever flips your switch, rocks your boat, gets you through the day... Love is not going to jump up and slap you in the face... At least, not in this country... Get your head on straight, climb on a plane and go get you some....

I travel back to Colombia again this month, but my next trip is to PI...

Good luck in Colombia and also in the Philippines. I was involved with Latinas for many years. You'll be surprised at many of the similarities between Latin American and Philippine cultures. The Philippines seems very familiar...Hispanic, with some Asian and American mixed in. I have observed and also heard from many Filipinas, that they tend to prefer more mature men. At 45, I am still considered young and in my prime. It was kind of strange when Filipina high school girls were calling me guwapo. I kept looking to see who was behind me...seriously!

When we were on the beach in puerto Galera my gf told me that a very cute 25 yr old girl picking up shells with us said i was "flawless", but when my gf said it, her accent made it seem like..... Clueless....., so i said, hmmmm she said What? hon?

Finally i understood what she was saying and thought Me? LOL thats the first time i have heard myself described as Flawless. LOL. Thats why we all love the Phils.

 Yeah, there's quite a difference between "flawless" and "Clueless", isn't there?!   I bet you did feel better to find out whcih they were saying.  LOL   There's such a huge difference between Filipinas and American women too.  No matter how hard you try to describe it to somebody, they can't begin to really understand it until they go and see it for themselves.   To find such beautiful women who are so simple and easy to get to know......man oh man....I don't understand why any single guy wouldn't give this a try!

CRAZY... There is something about Latin and Asian women that drive me nuts... It has something to do with the history and mixed bloodlines of both cultures... Both SA and PI were invaded and occupied by the Spanish... Colombia was later raided by Chinese pirates, so even in LA there is that mixture of spanish, asian and native bloodlines...

Having dated ladies from both latin & asian cultures, I am obviously attracted to both... But from my own humble experience I am finding that asian women are more sincere, dedicated and willing to create a life-time committment (unless Americanized)... Recent and continuing horror stories on both the Latin and Russian forums further confirm these beliefs... Granted, as always, we only hear one side of these stories, but the "cut and run" attitude still seems to prevail, just like with AW...

I was truly amazed at the response I received from a single listing on one PI website... One of the smaller ones too... Inside one week I had over 100 responses from girls ranging in age from 17 - 40... I never receieved that type of response from ANY other posting... Here I'm planning a trip to LA and now I have all these new penpals from PI... lol...

If things don't work out in LA this time, I think a mid-winter trip to the beach in Cebu sounds pretty good to me!!! I don't think I'll have any problems meeting women while I'm there!!!

It was filipinaheart.com... Found it here in the asian agency listings... Just took a chance and got a huge response... I had been a member of cherryblossoms.com... They have thousands of girls listed but none reply to messsages...

Not as many foreigners in Ermita? Ermita is the tourist belt of Manila. The only place where there are more kano's would be the Airport or Boracay lol. Just razzing you Outwest ;-)   Hum
