While On my recent trip to the philippines, i often had to remember
when my girlfriend, cooked dinner, not to get up from the table and bring my dishes to the sink, Or i would get a stern sour face, as she felt unneeded and felt that it was her job,

One time i walked around my condo and, seeing, that i had thrown some of my clothes on the couch, and my shoes were dumped by the bathroom door, etc, i decided to help out , as im used to doing everything in the USA, and proceeded to tidy up the place,

Soon, thereafter i heard a loud shriek from my gf "Honeeeyyyyy what are you doing,?" she exclaimed,  followed by a hmpt, ....I was just helping clean up, I said, ....NO!!!, Me I Do it, you sit down, She said. LOL

I watched as she retrieved my shoes, clothes, books , and whatever else i had just moved, and put them right back in the place i had just moved them from, Then, smiling, proudly, she proceeded to
clean up the room the way she wanted,

And they wonder why we love asian women.

Have not posted in many months now, but in case some of you are wondering, Vemila and I have been married 2 years and 7 months+. She is still the sweet gal as ever. She comes home from work and naps on my lap. she always said she would be by my side and she does. hangs on to my arm when in public.
We say "I Love you" many times a day. Lots of kisses and hugs. Wow, I think sometimes I am just dreaming, What a wonderful girl and to be a vast age diff. We are still in love. And, she sings on the way to work as I drive her. she must be happy..

16 years plus, and still my wife feigns anger when I pour my own drink or clear the dishes myself, insisting it's her job.

Hey Outwest,

It's been a year since my wife arrived here. I still have to jump up very quickly to get a head start, if I'm going to pick something up or take a plate to the kitchen, etc. If I move too slowly, she overtakes me and completes the task herself. Like Don, I wouldn't think of interfering when her family members are visiting. LOL Having mostly taken care of myself since I was 7 or so, it takes some getting used to.

It seems so, but she really isn't mad, just trying to make a point, I'll bet - and it mellows after time.

That reminds me of our honeymoon. I had lived alone for so long that I was used to getting my own beer, coffee, snacks, whatever. That got me some very stern looks, eyebrow semaphores and lip pointing. Finally she asked what she had done to make me angry. I was deliriously happy, not angry, and Vicky said "Well, then why do you not allow me to bring you things, am I not your wife?"

I knew then that I had lucked out, so I just sat back and let it happen.

Once back home on my own turf I would still sometimes get up for a cup of joe and ask her is she wanted anything and get the silent treatment. Even if she is in the middle of something tedious I am supposed to call for her before I lift a finger on my own behalf.

She is especially ticked off if I get up and get my own breakfast. According to her I eat like a goat when left to my own devices. What's wrong with peanut butter and fried kippers occasionally, I ask you? On sourdough bread. Makes a good sandwich. With a dash of Tabasco or some sliced jalapenos. Keeps the flies away. Alhough I admit Vicky's breakfast lumpia is wonderful and she has learned how to make biscuits like a pro. I am a sucker for biscuits at breakfast. A little butter and a dab of honey and I'm in hawg heaven. But sometimes she sleeps in, especially on cold days. Poor Filipina! She just hates to leave that nice, goosedown comforter in January. So I get to sneak down and do my own breakfast. Usually when she smells whatewver I am into she can't stand it and comes down to see what culinary felony I have committed.

I am very careful to allow her to wait on me hand and foot if any of her relatives or my mother is present, and especially if her mom is visiting. When her mom is here I always eat more than usual too to keep Vicky from losing face. I am too "skinny" for a married man of substance I guess. Personally I hate the thought of being fat and so I work hard because I do like to eat. I also never EVER get so much as a cracker for myself when her mom is here. I have to make sure she is up to make breakfast and I have to lay in bed for 20 minutes until she is well into making breakfast before I make an appearance. Sometimes I do a crossword puzzle while waiting but usually I turn the tv on low in the bedroom and catch the early weather and farm report there instead of on the little kitchen TV. It keeps peace in the family.

Vicky is an unusually attentive wife at any time but she turns into a superwoman when her mom is here. I can't sit and read a book without having a pillow behind my neck and having it fluffed every few minutes. Isially she'll come up behind me after supper when I'm watching the news and give me a shoulder and neck massage. Which is great. But when her mom is here I have to lie down on the sofa and Vicky does my whole back. Don't get me wrong, it feels great but I generally don't prefer to lie on my stomach fifteen minutes after supper. I prefer that sort of thing before bedtime. Mainly because I get to do hers after she does mine and it sort of morphs into a lot of horsing around because I can't keep my hands where they belong. But not when momma is here. ;-)

Vicky's mom must have taught Vicky massage. Once when she was here I got a catch in my back tossing bales of straw. I was heaving a big bale into a stall over the hurdle and my foot slipped. Not a muscle strain or anything but sort of like that stitch you get in your ribs when you've run too far. I was grousing about it later and Vicky had to go get supper so I stretched out on the floor and put my legs up on the sofa to flatten my back. I felt better. Pretty soon Vicky's mom showed up with a bottle of lotion and had me lie on the sofa and strip my shirt off and she worked my back over. Not just massage but half like a chiropractor does. Pulling up on an arm and pushing down on the spine. Pretty soon something popped and it felt a lot better. Then she rubbed it down really well. By the time supper was ready I could have done cartwheels. For a little lady she has strong hands, like Vicky. Ah, oriental women. Even mamma-in-law treats you like a king.

I dont have quite as many stories to tell since i have only spent a few months with my mahal but vicky sounds like she could teach mine a few lessons, lol.

Whenever we would go to the internet cafe in manila,, i never forget we would order noodles, and diet coke,
so here I am online, reading my email, she is sitting next to me, feeding me, fanning my neck with some paper she picked up, and just grinning from ear to ear like she is the happiest girl on earth, Gotta love em.
