Next, you should receive a Notice of Action (NOA-1) showing that your petition was received. When they finish the processing and everything is in order, you will receive NOA-2 (approval). After that, your fiancée will receive a packet from the consulate in Manila instructing her what documents she will need and the procedures for the medical exam and visa interview.
Currently, it looks like the INS Texas Service Center has zero backlog for fiancée petitions, so it could be approved any day now, possibly this month. Things could start moving real fast if you’re lucky. If your fiancée has not started working on her paperwork, she should get into high gear right now. What she should be working on:
1. Obtain certified birth certificates (at least 3 copies) from NSO Manila.
2. Get her NBI police certificate.
3. Complete the CFO seminar.
4. Get her passport.
5. It would also be a good idea for her to get a certified copy of her baptismal certificate.
Also, ask her if her birth was “late registered”, or registered some years after she was born. If so, she may need further documentation.
You should start preparing the documents for submitting your I-134 Affidavit of Support. She will need funds for visa application, medical exam, etc.
