Update

Hello everyone,

Things are moving along fast now. Sallie made it through St. Luke's yesterday walang problema. Her interview will be friday at the embassy. As long as there are no reviews she should be here in three weeks! We have been lucky as Sallie has relatives in Pasig who have helped her get around.  

Does anyone know the best way to get her plane ticket and pay for it here?

   I have done the following: Call Northwest Airlines and pay for an electronic ticket to the USA for her. She will have to go to the NWA  office in Mikatit city (they will give you the address and phone number) where they will give her documentation for her e-ticket so that she can get into the airport terminal. You can pay for the "ticketless travel" at this end with a credit card...it was about $450.

Hi Hum and Sallie,

That is GREAT news! I hope everything goes well. My wife got her tickets from a PAL office in her hometown (Sept. 2000). Butuan City-Manila-San Francisco-Miami for $680.

      It's good to hear things are doing good for you
     Are you from the Oregan area if I'm not mistaken. If so try Bayanni
     Commerical in Seattle. They handle airline tickets
     and money remitts.  ph#206-341-9770.  or paid for
     plane ticket direct thur a airline.alot of philippine money remitt

Sounds good.

When I got Tess to the USA I did like you and got a recommendation from this board on where to purchase the ticket.  It cost $440 on way from Manila to LA on PAL.  (That included about $45 exit tax.)
