Stereotype

I was in class today, and there was this girl that absolutely miffed me!  We're discussing comic books, and we were to survey the panels in them.  Well, the prof gave us a manga (Japanese) comic.  I picked it up and flipped through it and noticed some nudity.  Mistake #1: finding it humorous enough to show the two girls in my group.

Then (even after the Japanese girl said that the Manga comic would be the best one for the assignment), I went to pick the magazine up, and what was the first thing I was accused of?  Why, wanting to see all the porn, of course.  One of the girls said it was a scientific fact that 99% of guys around my age are in love with porn.  That may be, but what about the other 1%?  Well, it would appear that just doesn't exist.  If I had been thinking, I might have said something like "you don't know me, so don't presume that you do."

So tell me, do Filipinas stereotype like this?

Nate,
 It has been my experience that Filipinas are very non-confrontational.  They may think it but they won't be nearly so likely to say it.   Thy Japanese girl - was she born here or lived most of her life here?  Surely so because they us typically are shy and non-confrontational also.

Hey Steve,

The Japanese girl didn't say it; there was another girl in the group, an American.  She's the one who said it.  Though I had to laugh when she became obsessed with it; I think she spent 5 minutes trying to find all the pornography in the stupid thing (and talking about Brendan Frasier's great body)
