I quit on my trip to Vietnam. I figured that I would be so busy, and it was pretty easy. But I did smoke in every airport bathroom from Omaha to Taiwan. I still have cravings though, and dreams about it. Heck, smoking was fun!! But I do feel so much better.

Hi Lori,

Smokin' in airport bathrooms, eh? Your a woman after my own heart! :-) Too bad we didn't meet earlier. ;-)

I remember back in '93, I took PAL from LA to Honolulu. All through the flight I could not smoke because it was in US airspace. When we landed in Hawaii, I was ready to scream, but they said before we got off the flight for an hour fuel stop, NO smoking in the airport. I like to Sh1t!. I said the hell with it, I'm gonna try the bathroom. If they bust you, you will get a ticket. I walked in the bathroom and there was a huge cloud of smoke. Under that smoke was about 25 Filipino guy's leanin' on wall's, puffin' away. Too many of 'em for the cops to bust. I have never been so happy to see Filipino's in my life. LOL!

My favorite though, was in the airport in Taipei. Sign's all over the place saying "No Smoking". Under all those sign's were huge ashtrays full of butt's. People smoked everywhere. Even the airport guys. Seem's like they felt if you put up the sign's, then you satisfied the no smoking law! :-)

Glad to hear thing's are moving along on "bootin' the alien". I'm sure it still must suck though. I really feel for ya. Use the anger now to take care of the legal stuff ASAP. Later, you can let the sadness come and use it to build your character. Being hurt like that has always made me stronger. Wish I could fit him with a new pair of kneecaps for ya. I really do.

Jay.....good to have you back.  Glad to see you're up and around.

But tell me.....how's the wife doing?  Many times the man gets sick, gets all the attention...and by the time he's up-and-around the wife is ready to break down.

Best wishes to you wife.

Hi Stephen & Tess,

Thanks for your concern. Criselda held up well. She's a tough cookie. She has been through more than her share of hospital scenes with me, but all that was alcohol related a long time ago. This really shook her much more than I have seen in the past. This time, from the moment I woke her up saying I think I'm havin' a heart attack, she knew it was serious. She was by my side most of the time till last night when she went back to work. By that time, I had the heart Cath and we knew it was mild and I would be ok. She is at the moment getting her first decent sleep since Saturday.

I love her more today than I did last week, if that's possible.

Take Care,
Jay

Jeeze,

I ain't been home an hour and already I'm posting apologies on this board after rereading something I wrote. LMAO!

The "bite me" statement was meant only to those who do not care for my presence on this board.

I'm sure glad that you didn't have to come back as ghost and haunt us!

Hi Jay,

First of all, welcome back to you and tito Matt! I'm also glad that you didn't come back as a ghost. I remember when you moved and your computer hadn't arrived yet. I did some "ghost posting" for you. I'd sure hate to be possessed by you on a regular basis. =8oO

Hi Dave,

Ghost posting? You mean you took my place as "the ranting one"? LOL! Nice talking to you last night. We did keep my roomate up. He made it a point to tell me after I hung up. Oh well, he was a nice old guy, former Corsair fighter pilot in WW2. Thanks for the welcome back.
