Im excited, going to be leaving Wednesday to go and get Jicelle. I am wondering about something though, apparentley they are not stapling the passports to the "mysterious brown envelope" anymore? Jicelle called her sis and she said they received it inside a plastic envelope which contained the brown envelope and the passport (loose) inside. Oh well, hopefully this is nothing to worry about, maybe just to do with the switch of couriers?
Im wondering how any recent visas have been recieved this way, I dont have a log in at Mag-anak, but If anyone has any info, plz let me know. Id hate to fly 11,000 miles and turn back empty handed because of a staple, LOL!
Looking forward to showing my little hunnybunny around my city, maybe take her to the Minnesota State Fair (I described it as a giant fiesta), and later this fall take her on a long weekend drive through the Gunflint Trail up along Lake Superior to show her the trees change of colors...Im thinking she might find that pretty cool, if you have been used to palm trees most of your life..and I havent been up that way since I was a kid with my parents, hope its still as beautiful as I remember..
Wish me luck! :-)

Mog... that passport absolutely should not be removed from the envelope!! Cathy just showed me her visa on the cam and theres a big sheet of paper saying do not remove passport from envelope. She also says its stapled really well and would not fall off. Also make sure she has the cfo class sticker put in her passport.. They r making other girls come back after they have their visa to get that put in.. Hope everything is smooth for you.. Snow

Ok, wow, I guess everything turned out to still be attached, another mis-co-munn-i-cation! (which took an estimated 6 months off of my life I might add!).....Thanks for the heads up Snow! Yup, we had planned to go to the CFO office for her stamp, so it looks like things are back on track again. Thanks Dave and Kevin also, a guy at work recommended Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior, I checked out there website and it looks like a pretty nice resort, fireplace and double jacuzzi in the rooms overlooking the lake, now THATS what Im talkin about! Gotta stop at the Target store for a bunch of picture frames so when we get home my place will be filled with Jicelles pictures! Hey anyone that has a login at Maganak can you give Gene over there my St.Lukes/ Visa in hand timeline?
As follows:
Brian and Jicelle
St. Lukes/ May 7.........Visa in Hand/ July 19...(request for further docs)
Thanks!

Hi Mog,

Have a great trip!

I haven't been up along Lake Superior since I was a kid either. I would like to take my wife there someday. I'm sure that she would enjoy it. I think I miss the changing of the leaves more than I do the snow. Shocked))

Come up to Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and especially New Hampshire and Vermont.  New Hampshire, Vermont, upstate New York and Maine, as well as rural Massachusetts are excellent places to visit in October.
