Just got call! Visa approved!

Just got off the phone with Jicelle, her mom got the call yesterday from sis in Calaoocan City that her visa arrived! Its the greatest feeling. I want to thank all of you here for all you support, advice and tolerance when I got a lille rough around the edges during the frustrating waiting period. And a very special and sincere thanks to you Ray Bacon.
It seems like the Embassy approves visas in spurts. I guess maybe things are not so bad, I mailed off the K-1 petition on Feb. 7,  so a little more than 5 months to visa, and that was WITH the dreaded "request for further documents"!...
Thanks again my friends, you have all helped me a lot.... :-) yayyyy!

Congrats mr. mog!!!!!!!! Now comes the fun part... Waiting on t embassy here now myself but its only been 15 days since st.lukes, so no sweatin yet. Take care......

Thats great! Five months doesn't sound bad.

Hum, what service center are you going through? I went through NSC and had first NOA in one month, and second NOA after two months. I think any day you will get that nice formal looking letter in your mailbox.

We are going through NSC also. Got the first NOA in two weeks.  Filed I129F on March 21  no word on approval :-(

Jimbo, I cant really afford to, but I will go get her, she is only just turned 23, and a little scared of an international flight and entering the US on her own. I think it will be kind of fun, and I want to wish her parents goodbye and give them some small pasalubongs (gifts).
Hoping to return for a church wedding after a little while, as with everyone Im sure, and this economy, money is tight right now.
Its just such a relief, not being in the dark anymore. I think there is definitely something pyschological going on, a mental torture of sorts, with the not knowing a definitive date or time frame for these approvals,and the difficulty to get through to the Embassy that make the time periods and the waiting seem  so distorted and long.
