www.grisoft.com

go to this site and they will allows you to download their AVG 6.0 virus protection.  If you want their professional version there is a cost.

Does anyone know how good this virus protection is.  I've heard some good reports on it.

I just loaded Windows XP on my computer and my McAfee 6.0 wouldn't work on it so I loaded the AVG 6.0.  Did I make a bad decision?

Any help is appreciated.

You may be able to defrag if you deactivate AVG, then run defrag.  Once defrag is done, reboot and it should restart fine I would think...

I've been using panda anti-virus for 6 years, compared them directly with all the rest, and they beat the competition  hands down.

downloaded panda, it immediately found the w32klez virus
which i knew was on my computer.
it infects the .exe files............sigh............
so panda kept finding infected files, then saying,
cannot disinfect the file..............deleting file.......
so i had to stop it before it deleted all my .exe files
...............sigh.
the cure is worse than the disease. ................
arent computers fun.

To remove that advanced worm, download pqremove.exe from the panda website, and run the program.

Pqremove.exe is free to all...

The following is the link to the page that describes these "bad boys", etc.

There's a lot more info on the panda site, and based on your o/s, procedures for disenfection will vary.
